Alabaster
From southern New Mexico, alabaster tends to resemble marble, but it is softer in its texture.

Black Jet
Generally know as a mineraloid, black jet has an organic origin as it is derived from decaying wood under extreme pressure.

Picasso Marble Serpentine
Picasso marble serpentine is very popular due to its assorted colors of blacks and bands of gray and/or brown.  The state of Utah is its origin.
